The Visualz

A quick hit for everybody today, but a gosh darn classic nonetheless.

Siah and Yeshua da poED put out a masterpiece once upon a time entitled 'The Visualz.' This album is one of the most slept on in hip hop history and there is a reason for this. Siah and Yesh (who should be known to heads familiar with the Wee Bee Foolish crew and Fondle Em Records roster) decided to press it only on vinyl when it was released back in 1996, and there was very limited quantity of the records to go around.

Back in the days of napster/limewire/whatever I tried like hell to find any songs I could off this little piece of glory and was always searching one song in particular: the adventure-driven beat-switching 'A Day Like Any Other.' It was so so dope, bringing me back to my days of rocking classic RPG's on the (S)NES, but the downloads I could find always cut out early and I never knew how their lil story ended.

Luckily for the youth of today, you got the mothafuckin' Shadow Shogun... and Siah and Yesh finally made it available on something other than analog.

2 years ago 'The Visualz Anthology' came out, with the full original EP and some delicious extra's thrown in.

THIS IS A CLASSIC! Any hip hop head should have it in their library and know the lyrics by heart. So many anthems of my teenage years in here. Now that I have the whole thing in my possession, you best believe it will be on steady repeat for quite some time. Download, listen, love...
