Star Slinger is pretty awesome. Besides sharing the same acronym, we here at Shadow Shogun share a great appreciation for chopped up, beat driven, moody, freaky, heavy duty music. The producer in question has blown the world up with his super glitched out beatscapes, and he appears, for the moment, to be repping a sound that I am very drawn into right now. Chopped beats, low to mid tempo, lots of staccato hats and sidechaining, synth sometimes, sometimes phaser and filter flirts. Always banging tho, super ill spaced out vibe or raw synth boom. Could be flipping Deerhunter or Childish Gambino or whatever. Flippin himself, it works.
