Lighta!

One half of Play Ruff Sound (alongside Lighta! crew member Tank Girl) is the DJ Mandai - and she does play some rough and rugged records. In this mix, which was originally dropped a couple weeks ago, she takes the listener to school over some nice dancehall and raggae riddims in a very proper fashion. If you are into the sounds here,  make sure to check out any number of Lighta! events around Vancouver, cause the crew runs really deep out here. There are weekly events (like Ting!) and more one-off events like the upcoming all original material/new sound system debut in March or the Noah D show. I partied at New Years Ting and it was an ill way to bring in the new year.
