When I look at tunes...

(DUBSTEP)

Emalkay (pronounced Emm-Ell-Kay) had a meteoric rise from one of dubsteps most underappreciated producers to one of its most celebrated in no time flat. All the rinse out police will tell you they're sick and tired of the track he produced earlier this year, 'When I Look At You,' but the simple fact is it's the biggest track of 2009, and for good reason. For me, I'd say it is right up there with 'Saxon' and 'Wheres My Money?' to compose the holy trinity of best songs in dubsteps short history. Can ya tell I like my stuff rowdy?

(Sidenote: At the Excision show last Saturday he killed me with a teaser, he started his set off with the intro from When I Look At You, cut it out before the drop and proceeded with his set. Excision, in the doubtful situation you ever look at this blog, that was a dick move... and I laughed at my own frustration with you)

Exploding on the scene in a big way with a track he put out in February called 'Explicit' that used a mean vocal sample of the immortal Biggie Smalls (released on Caspa's label Dub Police), Emalkays been getting alot of love from nearly every DJ recently, but he's got an extensive track record of wicked tracks. My buddy Kyle told me he's in the studio with Caspa right now, and that has me salivating. Watch for Emalkay in the next little while to make some big, big moves.

Today we got his Dogs on Acid exclusive mix for you to enjoy. Below is the link from the site with an interview included, the download is directly below the tracklisting in yellow type and above the last picture. Download, listen, love...

Doctor P - Sweet Shop...

You HAVE TO hear this on a PK system. I lost my fucking mind when Datsik dropped this on Saturday, and I've been looking for it. Seriously, I must have looked like a mad man. Had the angriest bassface but was laughing with pure joy and just losing it dancing right next to the speaker. Probably scared some people.

Repeat. None of you have lived until you've heard this song dropped on a PK system.

On that note, Datsiks set was one of the best I've ever experienced I think. Buddy was off the hook. Big Ups Datsik!
