Alright everybody. This isn't a post to plug music (but you know I got some of that heat in here), this is a post to plug some of the dopest people I know.
Light & Soul is a clothing/design company, however, as I've gotten to know the people who run it to the point where I can call them good friends, I've realized it is also a way of life. Designers Katie Green, Cody Thompson, and Kai Cabunoc-Boetcher, as well as the tireless workers Page MacPhee and Dave Carlton (and a host of others - shouts to Andy, Ken, Chris, Luke and Chad), have an outlook on life that I can only wish I will possess someday. Simply put, they live for the vibe. Supremely kind, selfless and artistic mofugga's who throw a party that'll knock your socks and have the coolest people on God's green Earth gravitate towards them, these cats walk the righteous path.
Beyond their inherent and unexplainable dopeness, their clothing line has got much love from the coolest kids in town, myself included, and only gets better with each season. They started up selling custom bandana's and have pushed themselves to astonishing heights in the year since. Heres their mission statement, in their own words...
Light & Soul is a creations company. Whether it be through crafting a longboard, painting a picture, designing a T-shirt, engineering a death defying stunt, playing music or making a movie any form of creation is what we want to explore. Let inspiration fuel the fire. Let's dream some ideas. Let's manifest them into our reality. Let's let life flow. Collaborations will be the keys to masterpieces and the seeds to our prosperity. Let's create some ripples.

They got the fresh attire, check for their clothes down at The Gallery on 17th in Calgary. In fact, at that exact location on December 3rd, they'll be unveiling their winter line drop and new website while hosting a lil shindig that all the Shadow Shogun massive are cordially invited to attend.
Don't live in Calgary? Well you're lucky if you live in Meta's turf. The Vibe Tribe will be heading out to Vancouver with the 'Make It' Festival Nov. 20-22nd where they'll be hitting up the Croation Cultural Center. Go show some love and support for independent artists and meet the legends themselves. While you're there, dance to the riddims of the one and only Mike Hombre who is also making the trip and has been covered in a couple posts (One Time. Two Time.) on this blog. Deets.

So y'all get ready for the takeover! The Light and Soul movement continues onward and upward with each passing day, and if you ever meet them you'll understand what I mean. Their vibe is infectious and their creations are inspiring. Become a fan on their facebook page while you eagerly await the launching of www.lightandsoulcreations.com on December 3rd.
And you know every post on this here sites gotta have some heat to d/l and I even promised it at the start of the post, so I'll link up a funky feelgood mix from another vibe tribe for you to download, listen, and love...
