Big Dubbz - Mixed by Big Worm

This might as well be a feature post, considering how talented and respected today's artist is in the drum and bass community in Calgary and the west, but we want the focus to stay on the new mix, so maybe a compromise is in order.

Big Worm is one of my oldest friends. He is one of the few people that I started mixing and scratching with way back, and it was him in particular that was a strong force in me hitting cuts and learning how to mix. He taught me a lot of the fundamentals and a lot about showmanship; in addition, we would always be chilling and partying together, so we had a good understanding of how to vibe together. Through the years, he always led the crew in style and technique, and to this day he continues to progress and excel as a DJ. To this day, he is still one of the people I respect the most, as a person and a DJ.

Which brings us to the mix. I harassed him a few months ago to do up a mix for Shadow Shogun, and he wasn't set up at the time to record - although he did admit that it was past time for a new mix. Jump forward to today, and the mix is ready, recorded, and sounding proper. Seamless mixing, tight scratches, full vibes, nice selections and the real experience of being taken through a variety of moods that few mixes can offer. This is a trip to be taken. Big Worm has an innate ability to lead the crowd, and this mix offers a sample of what he can do, anticipating and delivering just what the listener wants in a strong fashion. Big respect on this mix.
