Well, this time around we got some noise from a crew I used to look everywhere for in the ol' days but could never find. I guess good things come to those who wait. These elusive virtuosos would be the Athletic Mic League. They follow in the vein of that intellect-driven verbal martial artist style of Detroit that's familiar to fans of One Be Lo/Binary Star, and I know there's lots of you, these guys are true students of the boom bap.

Another great blog out there on the endless connecting lines of the worldwide web - Real Hip Hop Beholders - recently did a double post on AML with a couple lil albums that were released around the last turn of the decade. So big ups to them, now go check the albums and get some goodness in your headphones.
