Up first is Illmind, who has been relatively quietly releasing (FREE) feature albums under the title 'Blaps, Rhymes, & Life' for a little while now. It always consists of a great recipe combining his trademark Illmind beats and a variety of underground and mainstream rappers. Even if you don't feel all the artists, pretty much guaranteed that they'll be at least a couple rappers you like. Always coming correct, Illmind has worked with what seems like everyone in the wide world of hip hop, and can compliment the ruggedest rapper or the most enlightened emcee equally thoroughly. Check the latest drop (Volume 4) and enjoy. There are three previous 'Blaps, Rhymes, & Life' releases out there too, in case this one isn't enough (despite the fact that this latest installment is actually a double disc).

Reflection Eternal - The RE:Union Mixtape

Hopefully Talib Kweli and DJ Hi-Tek need no introduction. They have united with Statik Selektah and mixed together this mixtape that showcases a bunch of unreleased music, cuts off their new album, and some classics from the dynamic duo in anticipation of their next studio album 'Revolution Per Minute'. This tape has other heavyweights rappers Mos Def, Jay Electronica, Styles P, Common, Royce da 5'9, and more. If you like what these dudes have done so far make sure to check this and keep your ears open for their new joint.
