From one of my favorite camps for hip hop comes the Low Budget Christmas EP. If you don't know about them or haven't kept up, the crew is strong, consisting of and being affiliated with various artists including Kev Brown, Oddisee, Roddy Rod, yU, Diamond District, Grap Luva, Cy Young, Jazzy Jeff, and on and on. They primarily reside in Maryland and they have been holding it down for a while now. Kev Brown is easily one of my favorite producers of beautiful and knockin (also often melancholy or bittersweet) beats. His chops go deep too - he is a wizard on the MPC.
Anyways, a little christmas package full of holiday flavored beats with the nice laid back vibe you need when at home keeping warm and making cheer and all that.
