Legendary rap group De La Soul - of the Native Tongues movement - should need no introduction. And that's good cause I'm a little bit out of it and I'd rather just share this with you as opposed to telling you a lot about it. This release is a tribute to De La from a whole shwack of people who make music and who have been influenced by the music De La Soul makes. I slept on it for a minute, but I woke up a couple days ago and was quite impressed by the work done here. Mick Boogie and Terry Urban come through to with this release which features producers such as Dave West, 6th Sense, Apple Juice Kid, J Rawls and rappers from all over, including Phife Dawg, Kardinal, Camp Lo, Asheru, UNI, Tanya Morgan, Chaundon, Skillz, and many more talented cats.
Big up the originators De La Soul and respect for the twenty years of quality music! Check this interesting and quality little project and vibe on some new true school shit.
