It may not be a mixtape, and it may not be free (I'm not sure but if you have beef with us putting this up by all means let us know, and it'll come down), but I just can't stop bumping this guy's latest release. Curren$y is one slick motherfucker coming out of New Orleans and this release pulls of some nice beats and some silly smooth raps, with both a different style than one might expect from the south (despite the fact that he was once signed to No Limit) and from the typical boom bap (although there is a bit of it on here, including what I swear is a beat jack from petestrumentals). He has also has like a gazillion mixtapes behind him too, and is featured on other's mixtapes (like the recent Back To The Feature release from Wale) so if you feel this by all means do the homework. His next release (The Grand Scheme of Things) is due out next year.
