And I said Got Damn! Meta's back... but not to be outdone, I got some fresh new hip hop for the Shadow Shogun massive too!

Now in my younger days, I was what you would call a Living Legends head. They were the group that introduced me to underground hip hop, I ate, slept, and breathed their shit when I was in Junior High. All of them, and The Grouch in particular, were actually hugely influential in how I saw the world. Which was good, taking their positive and intelligent messages was a lot better for me then if I just listened to some stupid 50 Cent shit I'm sure.

As I got older, I branched out and started listening to all sorts of hip hop, and all sorts of music in general. Still I got a huge soft spot for them, and I'm happy to see shit like how huge Murs has gotten. I also like to see shit like this.

Aesop (aka Aesop Fables aka Asop da O.L. aka Black Wolf - NOT to be confused with Aesop Rock) has been 'making' this album for about 4 years, and it was 'just about to be released' for the last 2. Now, he's just giving it to us. What a guy.

This is nostalgic of the old Living Legends, meaning theres definitely some weaker beats and theres a few bangers, but theres always thoughtful lyrics that offer the personal reflection of the artist. I've always seen Aesop as one of the more underrated MC's period, so I hope you guys enjoy this. Anyways, at this point, you should know the drill... Download, listen, love...
