(HIP HOP/TRIP HOP/INSTRUMENTAL)
Hey everyone, I'm not gonna say too much about this mix because, quite frankly, I don't know too much about it.
What I do know is that DJ Jive Turkey made a tribute mix for the vinyl samurai from Japan better known as DJ Krush. Perhaps it is fitting for Krush's discrete but distinct sound that this mix, much like the man himself, is wrapped in mystery. What it is is some headnodic meditative music that moves the listener through equally dark and jazzy soundscapes. It's reminiscent of Krush's contemporary DJ Shadow, with whom he has collaborated before (see Shadow's remix of Krush and The Roots' 'Meiso'). I got no backstory, no tracklisting, just some dope beats.
